From dots to a heart
By Jan Keur
Our logo in screen printing, dot by dot, from the screen to the finished shirt.
Halftone means the design consists only of dots. Where they are large, the area becomes dense; where they get smaller, it fades out. This creates a gradient from a single colour.
On dark fabric, a light tone needs a base. That is why white goes onto the shirt first, followed by our brand colour, dot on dot in the same raster. If the second screen sits even slightly off, the white shows at the edge of the dots.
It works the same way with your logo and your brand colour. Before a halftone goes onto the screen, we check whether your design holds up as a halftone and how fine the dots may be.
